With the construction of the Skytrain into Richmond, many local businesses are throwing in the towel early on. Seeing chained up doors like this one in a vibrant part of town is indeed a strange sight.

Night to Day

I shot this image out our kitchen window very early one morning. With an active three year old in the house, early mornings and evenings are usually the only times of peace and quiet. The moon overhead a fading night sky seemed to capture my inner mood.

Hard to determine where the night ends and the new day begins.

I came across this kickin' jazz/fusion band at the Festival. I grew up with the likes of Earth Wind and Fire, Level 42, and Spyro Gyra -- so listening to their old school sound was pure pleasure.
